HPL sandwich panel

Overview:

HPL sandwich panel utilizes high-pressure laminate (HPL) as the surface layer, bonded to an insulated core (e.g., PIR or rock wool). Designed for cleanroom and industrial applications, it offers chemical resistance, scratch-proof durability, and easy disinfection. Available in fire-rated and non-fire-rated variants, it ensures hygienic, low-maintenance surfaces while providing thermal insulation and sound dampening, widely used in laboratories, hospitals, and food processing facilities.

Introduction Detail:

The High-pressure laminate (HPL) 4 mm thick is a solid compound consisting of over 40 layers of paper impregnated with melamine and phenolic resins. The sheet of HPL, measuring 1300x3050 mm, has a transparent finishing layer on both external sides that protects the decorative layer below. The central layer is composed of Kraft papers pressed to 9 MPa at 150 °c. A protective PVC coating protects the panel during the production, transportation and installation phases. We chose to use HPL-grade products only, in accordance with standard EN438.

Technical FAQ:

What does the 40-layer HPL structure mean for cleanroom use?

The 40-layer Kraft paper compression creates an extremely dense, solid core. This ensures the panel won't warp and provides the "High-pressure" durability needed to withstand frequent high-pressure sanitization in sterile environments.

How does the HPL surface handle harsh cleaning chemicals?

Thanks to the melamine-impregnated surface paper, HPL panels have excellent acid and alkali resistance. This allows you to use strong disinfectants without damaging the aesthetic or structural integrity of the wall.

Is the HPL panel fire resistant?

Yes. By using inorganic non-combustible core materials and HPL sheets that meet EN438 standards, our panels provide excellent fire resistance for industrial safety.
